Cascade Integration & Development Inc. is a Bend, Oregon systems integration firm that has an established and growing presence in Oregon and California. Position Summary:
Responsibilities:
• Install and configure software and hardware
• Manage network servers and technology tools
• Set up accounts and workstations
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Build internal systems, technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
• Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade customer’s networks and servers
• Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
• Identify needed updates
• Support and administer third-party applications
• Ensure network security and connectivity
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
• Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords
• Resolve problems reported by end user
• Define network policies and procedures
• Specify system requirements and design solutions
• Research and make recommendations on server system administration
Desired skills:
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
• Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
• Familiarity with various operating systems/platforms, backup & recovery methodologies
• Experience in networking, routing, and switching
• Knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
• Ability to set up and configure server hardware
